If it's any consolation I am currently trying to get my Epson CX5200 to
work - printing is fine, scanning not so... but it used to work.

I recall a haiku poem (I will have mistyped if syllable counters notice):

Yesterday it worked
Today it is not working
Windows is like that

It seems to me that "Windows" and "Linux" are interchangeable in that poem.
