The only way I can think of doing it via a web browser is by using 
either Citrix or Tarantella. The other way I can think of doing it, is 
to not use Etherape, and rather install Big Brother which is a web based 
network monitor etc.

Unless you can find a java applet that can connect to X and draw the 
windows using x forwarding. Which tarantella accomplishes, although it 
comes with a price.
