[sclug] Linux Virus and Spam control

Hello All,

I have seen a few posts on these points but nothing really stuck...

What are the options for spam and virus management for Linux at the
moment (virus as in  Linux vulnerabilities and plug ins (OSS) for
sendmail, custom proxy maybe or other products such as Exim. What about
vulnerable MS desktops)? How does these things integrate into the
different apps (is everything done via proxy or are there specific
plugins for things like Evolution?)
