[sclug] dynamic desktop icons (on USB hotplug)

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a .deb that provides the same functionality of
Mandrake's 'Dynamic'. It handles dynamic creation of desktop entries (icons)
for hotplug hardware.

Basically I want zip/camera/scanner/etc icons to appear when USB items are
plugged in.

Or can mandrakes RPMs be easily converted using Alien or somesuch prog
(googling would suggest so - but I had limited (no?) success when trying the
other night).
