I also had the same problem trying to install RH9 into a VM Ware session. I wasn't able to fix it but Mandrake 9.1 which is supposedly very similar worked fine.

Hello World.

Ok this may sound like a silly problem but it has me stumped.
Google has been bugg3r all help.

I am attempting to upgrade my "Crash n Burn" box to RedHat 9, 
downloaded the ISO's and burned them myself (MD5's were fine).
All CD's burned ok, however I cant boot of the install disk, 
GRUB comes up with all the boot options fine but when I 
select install the kernel does not start to boot.
