[sclug] Any work going?

I too am looking for any work going, however, I am more on the
development side than sys admin.
I have my own consulting company, but it is difficult to get new
contracts.
I have moved back and forth between Solaris, Windows and Linux several
times and the way I have done it has always been to convince a company
that I am a good enough asset that platform dependence is irrelevant.
They have then been willing to show a little patience while I got up to
speed at the new job (which never took more than a week to get to a
proficient level). I guess I was lucky and in the past, the job market
was such where this was more possible.
Paul.
