Glyn,

I hope you enjoyed the meeting. At one point you said you were
starting on a simple guide to unix commands. It so happened I just
came across the notes I wrote for a course on unix I gave to a class
in the Continuing Education dept at the university and I thought you
find them helpful. What I did was write in HTML and then all I had to
do in class was sit them down, tell them to read the stuff and follow
the links. It's got too much stuff about file permissions but
otherwise it's not bad.
