[sclug] Postfix and SASL hell

Hi,

I am trying to get my mail server working with SSL/TLS. I am currently 
fighting with SASL because it is being gay and doesn't want to 
authenticate against pam. It is pissing me off because it refuses to 
play nice with pam and shadow, it wants to check /etc/sasl2/sasl2db 
although I have specifically configured it not to:

My smtpd.conf file (/etc/sals2/smtpd.conf)

/pwcheck_method: saslauthd
mech_list: LOGIN PLAIN

/Any ideas?
