No, Java understands classes in .zip files.

I'm guessing that your copy of firefox has been compiled with a different
version of gcc than the RealPlayer plugin. ISTR there was some hackage going
on in Mozilla/Firefox to prevent this from being a problem, but I have no
idea whether that's complete and fully working or not.
