All,

The first release of a command total-time measurement tool
is available at:
http://www.coding-guidelines.com/perdeb_0.1.tgz

See README for details (you will probably want to
switch off the 64-bit option).

Suggestions on how to get it working reliably using
bash (works great under sh) welcome.
