[sclug] Configuring Grub menu

I have Grub as my bootloader. The boot-menu ordering is a pain and I 
want to re-order things.

Can anyone tell me where to find the config files? Grub is installed on 
my MBR; I have found a /boot/grub directory in my file system, but there 
is nothing relevant there as far as I can see. The docmentation refers 
to the Grub root directory not necessarily being my /root directory, 
without specifying what else it might be.
