Hi Folks

I am a co developer of Quantum Geographical Information System (QGIS -
http://www.qgis.org), licensed under the GPL. As our project grows we
are seeing the need to set up some kind of legal entity. Primarily the
need for this is manage funds and donations without it being viewed as
personal revenue by the taxman.

Does anyone have information / guidance (in as close to idiot speak as
possible please :-) on how this can be done effectively? Am I mistaken
in thinking that there is some kind of open source foundation with
offices full of men in wigs who help projects such as ours manage this
process?

Any other sage advice by those who have already trodden this path will
be gratefully accepted.

Regards
