Before I turn my brand new 500GB shiny network drive into a doorstop,
I thought of asking... Does anybody know of any way to format his
drive as ext2/3 so that you can back Linux files up to it and it will
preserve the file permissions? I have plugged the thing in via USB
and formatted it ok to ext2 but the onboard linux implementation
doesn't seem to understand ext2 so now I have a drive of size 0 on
the network.

Cheers,
Pieter
