enough to perceive the tongue-in-cheek nature of my contribution? ;-)

BSF I see we agree that it works in small communities, probably of a 
size where everyone knows each other. ISTR a telly prog a few years ago 
about a tribal group. One member had returned from a stay in 
civilisation and was sitting around like a lazy arse while everyone else 
did the work. The leader of the tribe was unfazed about it, reckoning - 
correctly as it turned out - that he'd get bored sitting around apart 
from all his fellows and would get stuck in shortly.
