I agree with that last remark. PMFBI but isn't this argument getting tired
and tiresome?  It's just software, after all.

For the record I use Linux at home, I use Windows at work, and I can
honestly say they both have their delights and their frustrations. The truth
is surely that Windows (XP onwards) and Linux distros like Ubuntu are
probably both good enough for most people, in the same way that our current
technically flawed crop of 'family' motor cars are good enough for most
people, as are fridges, washing machines, etc. Linux probably has to be
better and easier to use than Windows in order to attract people away from
something ubiquitous that they are familiar with, and it is a little short
of that just now. But it is getting there.
