On the Monday - 14th June - Cafe Scientifique has a talk "Why worms rule
the world" by Dr Dan Carpenter of the Natural History Museum.

"Aristotle described them as nature's plough and Darwin devoted an
entire book to them. Earthworms have been heralded as the planet's most
important organism in a recent book. So, why are earthworms so important
and could we survive without them?"

This event is at the D?j? vu Bar and Eatery, 61 St. Mary's Butts,
Reading, RG1 2LG. (Entry free but you may wish to buy a coffee or a drink.)
