Tom,

Deeply disturbed to read about your 'hostile reception' at the last meeting,
although I wasn't there myself. Given the work you've put into managing this
mailing list over the years I think any kind of hostility towards you is
likely to have been inexplicable and inexcusable.

Was this personal (perhaps I shouldn't ask that), or some ideological
difference (which tends to bring out the worst in people IMHO)?
