Thanks I will have a look, although such use of chroot is a bit
outside my current ability, so that would not be good news. Would the
drivers have soon got into the (Ubuntu) updates anyway, or was the
particular nvidia graphics so meshed into the (Windows) gaming scene
that you really had no choice but  to get serious....
