@Luke, fair point, to be honest I really did not look at the salary offered or give it any thought, just thought it may do a local person some good if they were interested and help Nick find somebody local.
@Gareth That is an age old catch 22 situation, that has not changed over the years, companies want people with experience, but who is going to give you the chance? Go for it if you think it will give you a start.
A bit of background; after using Synergy for quite a few years they recently had an update to the software that I could not get to work, nor could many others, there was also a lack of support on their forums with frustration I vented on their Facebook page. I was contacted by Nick who offered to visit me at home in Reading when he was back in the UK to help fix it.
I was able to fix it myself so did not get to meet him but was impressed by his offer to go out of his way and chatting to him online he did seem like a really nice guy.
The job is not for me but I felt by posting it on here I may be able to help him as he had offered to help me, and also maybe help somebody who is local find work.
So there was no other intention, other than to help others.
