[Scottish] Apologies - can't talk this month

Has anyone ever done a talk on Amateur Radio Data Modes? I'm not
volunteering but someone from the West of Scotland Amateur Radio Society
may know of a potential speaker. I could make enquiries.

There are some interesting applications. Automatic Position Reporting, IP
over Radio, Amateur Satellite Access. And the bandwidth achievable using
'Packet Radio' (one Amateur Radio data mode, packet switched) is
increasing. 9k6 modems are most common, but 56k and ones capable of 600k
are available pre-made. And numerous plans for multi-megabit links.

Whats more you don't need to learn morse to get access to the most
interesting bands (i.e. where you get most bandwidth). And if your happy
with using a few watts of power instead of hundreds the test becomes even
easier.
