Not especially.

As Paul mentioned, RH8.0 doesn't come with MPEG codecs, but you can
easily add those packages yourself.

No, you don't have to pay for evolution, or anything else in RH8.0.

I am not aware of anything about RH particularly (other than perhaps
size of user base) which might attract script kiddies.
