Sorry posted in haste. Note that this is organised by meetup.com and 
doesn't have much to do with Slashdot. meetup.com also organise Python, 
L:inux and other meets (homebirth? Corvette owner?).

Is it any wonder I'm out of a job! (but still looking....)
