[Scottish] Broadband and Routers

   I am a complete newbie to networking as many of you will have 
guessed. Anyway I need some suggestions for a

  a) A router
  b) General set up (insert stupid question)

  I need port forwarding, NAT, built in Firewall, easily configurable.  
Someone suggested the Vigor 2600.

  Ok the stupid question now. Will I be able to access the server from 
the local machines on my network, using samba, ssh, or even the browser 
(using local IP address or machine name). In other words, will the 
router recognize internal IP addresses.
