Senior Production Infrastructure Engineer: up to £28k + benefits

Lead the network team to provide complete operational control and
ownership of the production environments by working on all aspects of
the technical infrastructure and assisting the Service Delivery Manager
to deliver mission-critical 24*7 ASP services to the company's global
clients.

Essential Skills
o Strong Linux (Debian, Suse) and Windows System Administration Skills,
o Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Exchange 2003/2000, patch
management,
o Linux/Unix technologies: Apache, Netfilter/iptables, Samba, SSH,
o Network technologies: LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VPN, routing,
o Storage: NAS and or SANs deployment experience,
o Security: Server Hardening, Intrusion Detection, Syslog Analysis,
o Monitoring: BigBrother, OpManager,
o Dbase: IBM DB2, MS SQL Server,
o Programming: Shell scripting, HTML, XML,
o Able to work in a fast paced environment,
o Problem solver with commitment.

Skills that would be advantageous
o An understanding of client-server applications based on Java J2EE,
o Network: Cisco/Foundry technology (Switches-VLANS, Routers, VPN, PIX),
o Penetration testing, ethical hacking,
o One or more MCP/MCSE, Cisco or Unix exam passes,
o Quality initiatives such as ISO 9901, CMM or other industry standard
models.
