Some of you may be listeners to LUGRadio (http://www.lugradio.org) and some
of you may have heard us mention the LUGRadio Live conference
(http://www.lugradio.org/live) that is taking place this year on the 22nd
and 23rd July in Wolverhampton. Given that this months meeting is the last
before the event, I suspect there will be a certain amount of travel
negotiations taking place - there are at least 2, if not 3 cars going down
for the weekend (leaving Friday, returning Monday).
If you are intending to go, but will not be at June's meeting, can you
please indicate on the list if you would like a lift. If you're not
intending to go, then maybe you should change your mind ;)
LUGRadio Live is an event born out of frustration with the fact that many
Linux events have become 'corporatised', and that the majority of them are
not in the UK! Thus was born an event dedicated to the Linux community, and
hosted in Wolverhampton. Last years event was very popular, with quality
speakers, and over twice as many people as were expected turned up. This
year the event is twice as long and twice as big! There is a full list of
speakers on the website. Tickets are an astonishing £5 for the whole event.
There are also discount rates available at various local hotels.
