ok try this... if you bios is not booting from cd and it used to, then it's probably due to a dodgy cd. Download kubuntu edgy *the latest stable version* - for free http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/releases.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/edgy/kubuntu-6.10-desktop-i386.iso burn it, bung it in, boot, click install. email us.
