I hate to spam mailing lists with job averts, but they are often the
best place to find linux bods, but here's the details for the job going
with us

Red61 are a growing software development company, based in Edinburgh,
specialising in live event ticketing. We are looking for a new full time
member of staff to join the team as an IT Support person.

Excellent communication skills and a passion for new technology are
essential. Your role will be to maintain current systems and you will
work closely with the Systems Architect to extend those systems and
develop new ones.

You will be part of a close knit team, but you will be self motivated
with good diagnostic skills and have the confidence to take ownership of
tasks and solve problems either directly or through delegation.

You will provide IT and system support to customers and other members of
the team and you will be joined by short term seasonal staff during key
busy periods.

Red61 clients include the Edinburgh and Brighton fringe festivals and
the workload is therefore seasonal. Evening and weekend office work may
be required during busy periods but working hours are flexible outside
these times to take account of additional hours worked. Other Red61
clients who operate year round work outside of normal business hours and
you will therefore be required to work on-call shifts which will be
shared with other members of the team.
