Linux System Administrator/Engineer

What we are looking for:
We are recruiting for a Linux System Administrator/ Engineer. 

The candidate must be passionate about Linux and be able to demonstrate their skills. Experience with hosted or cloud services are preferred.

Skills requirement:
Experience/Skills required:

Minimum 2 years Linux/Open Source experience
Previous scripting experience in either Ruby, Perl or Python
Database management and maintenance in either MySQL or PostgreSQL 
Experience with virtualisation in either Xen or KVM
Experience with running and managing web facing applications (Apache, Nginx etc)

Physical deployment of servers, network equipment and firewalls in datacentre racks
Linux and Windows operating system and application management
System administration
Research and documentation
Scripting

Other

This role is based in Edinburgh. 

40 hours per week. Office hours. In addition the job holder will be on-call for out of hours cover on a rota-basis.

You must be able to speak English fluently as this position requires communication with business customers in the UK.
