[Sderby] Next meetings - anyone using KSirc?

Chris,

The error implies that it cannot connect to the server, if you bring up
a terminal and type su to become root, try traceroute below is the
output when I did it

As you can see it got to the server 212.85.248.76 at the 12th hop.


This will prove you can at least get to the server, if this works then
it mat well be the firewall blocking your outbound connection. You will
therefore need to look at the firewall configuration tool and see what
options you have. You will need to enable outbound connections to any
address with a destination port of TCP 6667.

What version of Linux are you running ?
