Ah, now, the reason I didn't say before is because I didn't wanna load you all down with facts that you didn't need (or maybe you did).
The laptop is a :
Mitak Minote 6200T
P3 500Mhz (Coppermine)
128Mb SDRAM
ATI Mach64 8MB GFX card
Hitachi 6184 Mb (6Gb) HDD
TEAC 12x CD-ROM
I get no error messages, as the laptop just hangs after I get the initial LILO messages (the display goes blank, after the message 'Loading /sbin/loader')
This occurs even in text mode install, and I have tried all the other options for install.
I also had this problem with RedHat 9 when I tried it..
Thanks in advance,
Dani

First off, greetings seem in order, so hi ;)
I'm a relative newbie to Linux, currently running a rehashed version of Debian 3 called Morphix (for those of us that have actually used it, I am running the KDE-0.41 version). I live just within the county (Stanton, near Swad) and I think that I may actually be the only Linux user for miles ;)
Apart from Morphix, I have a /proper/ version of Debian (3.0r1 SPARC port) running on a Sun Ultra 5 as my webserver (which will be serving something soon, I swear ;)).
Now, a question for y'all.
1. Any ideas why Fedora won't even install on the laptop? (the one running Morphix)
Thanks in advance!

Dan,
Do you have any other info about the problem? What hardware are you using?
What error messages are you getting? Where is it going wrong?
Mike.

Although the following link is not for your exact laptop there maybe

He might decide to incorporate Reiserfs into Windows.
BTW, anyone know what the 'X' stands for in 'XP' (_!_) . There aren't that
many words that begin with 'X'. Something to do with wood perhaps ;-)
