[Sderby] Knoppix

I tried out Knoppix first and as a result, it converted me.

I still use Windows because it is part of my day job (writing for a PC
magazine). I use Visual basic for DOS for creating executables. However,
Runtime Revolution (I have 1.1.1 which came on the cover disk of PC Plus)
will compile for Linux as well as Windows, SunOS and loads of others
including thebeige toaster (although it has to be comiled on one to do that
because of the way that that OS is set up for compilation).

One day, I will get around to learning how to program in Revolution.

I would like a gui-based, BASIC-like (so Pascal would do) compiler that will
created executables for Windows and Linux but have the three layered help
that MS VBDOS has as this is very useful (layer 1 - just basic syntax; layer
2 - details; layer 3 - examples).
