Many thanks to James Gibbon for his reply. Although it confirms that I shall
need to solve the LAN problem using the software supplied. Can anyone please
tell me how to deal with this dialogue that appears after clicking the
network icon?
Quote Unable to find any workgroups in your local network Unquote.
I have unsuccessfully searched for any place where I can insert a workgroup
name.
Yast2 / Network Services / Host Names appears favourite but no amount of
experimenting has produced a result.
