I have had a bit of correspondence with Jack Schofield about Linux over the 
past couple of years.  He is (was?) a dedicated Microsoft supporter - but 
that might not be uncommon for a journalist who gets the odd freebie - and 
even a badly written article like this is something of a move forward.  In
