To amplify my last message I used to run SuSE 9.1 on my Athlon 64 and was
very pleased with it. Since then I have updgraded to 9.2 and it's even
better. There are a few niggles like Flash doesn't work in FireFox, but
that's due to flash being a 32bit app and the SuSE supplied version of
Firefox is 64 bit, so it's not really SuSE's fault. I simply installed a
32bit version of Firefox and all now works.
The only app that is flakey is VMWare but that is down to it only having
flakey support for 64bit, I can compile the kernel modules ok, Vmware runs
but sometime crashed the running guest OS.
