[Staffs] editing resolv.conf on Knoppix - HDD install

I need to edit resolv.conf in noppix to add my ISP nameserver. The router I am
connected to is supplied by my wife's company, is preconfigured for DHCP and
is un-editable. In Ubuntu, I was able to edit a file called (I think)
dhcclient.conf that contained a line tp append my ISP name server to
resolv.conf automatically. (If I edit resolv.conf manually, it juat gets
over-written by the DHCP server).
Can anyone tell me if there is a similar way to do this in Knoppix?
(I can't use apt unless the ISP nameserver is in resolv.conf)

Thanks
