[StAndrews and Fife LUG] Hi

Hi all.
here's my recent use of Linux
installed Mandrake 9.0 on a PC at home (over a year ago) and using it as a
back up server.  have Mandrake 9.2 but not updated it yet a sthe server
seems to be running fine.  I have Pipex ADSL at home with a fixed IP so the
web server seems to work fine.  I use it mainly for on-line backup and it
works fine.  so there is at least one online web server in West Fife :o))

I did have a problem with conecting a windows PC through it as a gateway,
David gave me some advcie and have no problems running it now.

I was going to use this same PC as a workstation, but have decided not too,
so I need to set up another PC to use as a Linux workstation.  generally the
tools etc that came with Mandrake look good, and with Open Office its ideal.
