[Sussex] Any SED and AWK experts out there?

okay So i have at least 25 files which I have been opening and doing the
following in vi

:1,$s/<%/<?/g
:1,$s/%>/?>/g
:1,$s/response\.write/echo/g
:1,$s/stepno/\$stepno/g
:1,$s/coredataref/\$coredataref/g


I belive its possible to run a script to do this automagically any one
got any ideas ?
