Whist trying to set up ppp on this stoopid iPAQ, the docs I found keep
taking about putting /dev/ttySAO in the /etc/ppp/options file. I don't
have this node in my /dev hierarchy.
What is /dev/ttySAO? (There's bugger all on Google 'bout this!)

Steve,
I've got Opie working now... I'm impressed.
The only thing is I havn't got usb connectivity working yet
The modprobe usb-eth command worked.
If I type:
ifconfig usbf up 1.1.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
Then it says: SIOCSIFFLAGS: no such device
But if I just do: ifconfig usbf
Then it lists a device called usbf
Also do I need to use PPP to communicate through usb?

Sorry I didn't reply to this before but I didn't see it at home. Don't

It will reboot as a normal PC would when powered on. The normal output
goes to the console which is the TTY port coming out the base - but you
should see a Linux logo on the screen as it boots.
JFFS2 is good at not losing stuff so you shouldn't have a problem.
