[Sussex] Changing Groups?

Hi guys,

Quick quiz for ya, I'm currently a non-root user on my system here at
home but I can't seem to "su -", it keeps telling me permisson denied
even though I can log in as root from the login screen.

I'm guessing I need to be in different group, but I'm not sure which one
or how to do it!
