Good news indeed.  Good for you, good for LINUX.

There is a statistic I'd be interested to see:

How many people, once they've been introduced to an alternative (be that
LINUX, Mac OS or whatever else) swap back to using Windows?

I say this because the majority of people I know who bad mouth Non-Microsoft
platforms are people I _know_ have never once tried something else.  People
who have spent time on other platforms (i.e. enough time to become
accustomed to a different way of doing things) never seem to want to go back
to Windows.  Even Stephen, who has had no end of troubles with Lindows OS on
his Evesham box (the hardware is fine BTW, but I would advise not touching
Lindows with a barge pole) is still happier to persist with it than resort
to WindowsXP.
