Glad to have you onboard.  :)  One small request (as a list admin) please
could you send messages to the list as plain-text rather than rich text or

I see you've already realised the first major advantage of LINUX and (most)
of the software that runs upon it - it is (or at least can be) very stable
indeed.

Wow... and Commodore still went bust.  I used Amiga's in the late 1980's
early 1990's - my last machine was an A1500 with a 68030 accelerator card,
6MB or RAM and a 80MB hard-disk!  Mainly used to program C and make 3d
scenes with Turbo Silver.  I said goodbye of that machine in  1995 - I
needed a PC for my Uni coursework.

Erm.. I've heard that arguement many times.  I can see where you're coming
from, but I have to say I disagree.
