Derek,

Very interesting!

I have been asked to make an intial approach to a primary school in Kent
with information on how open-source systems could be of benefit to them.
Really, I would like to be able to provide them with some kind of well
presented document from a reputable body or company rather than just my
usual ranting and raving. THe GNU/FSF stuff is all a little too geeky for
this task.

On your point about the show, I would certainly support the presence of
the/a LUG at such a show. I recently read that, on the library front, Linux
is well placed to dominate globally because of supposed abbundance of free
software available in that field.
