[Sussex] apmd / vga=ask problems

Just to update you.  

The solution to crashes when vga=ask is set seems to be as follows:

1. Run GRUB rather than LILO
2. Set vga=792 (or another valid mode)

Thanks for your help everyone.  The machine is now running very well in a
high res terminal.
