This reminds me.. I had an argument last week (and I mean a proper, full-on
argument) with an ASP developer I used to work with. He claimed it was
technically impossible to write a web-application in C. Actually, what
really annoyed me was that he was using this as an arguement to stop his
boss moving all their web development to Linux/Apache - and the whole
foundation of his arguement was that you can only use C if you program on
UNIX.

*sigh*

I gave up at that point and just explained to his boss that there are a
number of scripting languages that could be used trivially to replicate the
functionality of ASP - turns out his boss knew this and was faintly amused
by his developers rant.

The ASP developer walked away still arguing his point, even after I pointed
out to him that the network stack, and the webserver he was using (IIS
*yuck*) and the ISAPI filter for ASP were all written in C and C++. He
still didn't understand or believe that C could be used to serve up a web
application in any way or form.

...and they wonder why so many IT projects fail...
