Hi Fellas

I want to be able to back up my Linux partition on a regular basis. Can
anybody show me an example script or scripts I can write to do this?

My distro + home directory takes up about 1.5 gig and I have about 5.5 gig
free on my Linux partition. I would idealy want to burn the backup onto
CD-ROM afterwards.

I also have a Fat32 partition with about 7 gig free on it.

So I should have plenty of space to store backup image files.

The next question is; when the worst has happened and due to accident or my
fault (usually) I have to restore it. Ok, I get my rescue disk and run it
then, what are the commands I need to do the restore?

Thanks m8's, help much appreciated.
