Supposedly these are the Holy Grail for group visualisation because they
allow people to observe as a group, in a normal environment, with an
intuitive inteface (ie, if you want to see the back, you walk around to the
back).  

I think customer orders for very large versions of this are more likely in
non-trivial situations.  I've heard reports that we'll be seeing a true3d
version of "bip" in arcades before the year is out.
