Invitation to tender to help build theplacetobe.net

Building local knowledge

theplacetobe.net is a new not-for-profit partnership based in 
Brighton & Hove, UK. It exists to help provide better information for 
people who live and/or work in the City, especially through the use 
of the internet and other new technologies.

The seven founding partners are drawn from public, private and 
community sectors and have been funded by central Government to 
develop knowledge management solutions to meet the needs of local 
people and the local organisations which gather, manage and publish 
information.

As well as developing new information resources we are keen to make 
the most of existing information. The first stage of our work focuses 
on the development of tools that will allow locally owned and managed 
information to be publicly searchable.

If you are interested in tendering for this work please complete a 
pre-qualification questionnaire and return by 10.00 am, Friday 
October 15th 2003.
