The current version of Knoppix (3.3) is a 700M pre-built CDROM 
that boots from CD into Linux with Mozilla, OpenOffice 1.0
all pre-configured and pre-installed !

All hardware is auto detected and the user is asked NO questions
during bootup (unless you don't want a German keyboard)

That is why I think OSDE has finally arrived for Linux novices
like myself !
