[Sussex] cd-burning under 2.6?

All,

Everytime I try and burn a CD, it freezes my machine regardless of the
software I'm using. I'm not sure what I've done, as it used to burn
under my old setup of 2.4.22, but now won't burn under either.

I've re-emerged cdrtools just incase that's what's doing it, but to no
sucess. I've copied out the relevant part of
/var/log/everything/current and included it below.

Incase its of any significance, I have hdc="ide-scsi" (hdc is my
cdwriter) in my lilo.conf for all kernel images and cdrecord and all the
other software find it when scanning the scsi bus at 0,0,0.

All help appreciated, log follows,

Matt
