If you used virtual desktops, you could open vnc sessions in each virtual
desktop of the machine you are using, with different accounts and profiles
(and window managers) in each.

I've not used that OS, but I guess the users are logged in remotely?
Either that or that they would have some major security flaw.

vnc allows multiple users to have multiple servers running on the same
machine by displaying their screens over the network.

vnc allows the user to detach from one computer, go to another and connect
to the same screen and carry on working from where they left off with all
the applications and processes still running.

This is the original vnc server and client program site

Tight VNC is designed to use less bandwidth, and therefore is better for
dialup customers to use the system, and has support for ssh built in for
the Unix version.

I've used VNC over a dialup to show some friends how to use Dreamweaver
when I was working on my FreeBSD box at Demon.
